Are end panels necessary?
No, You Don’t Need Them… Our cabinet lines all have finished sides, so they are stained or painted to match the face frame and doors. So if your only concern is whether or not the sides are finished, then you don’t have to worry… you won’t need the end panels.
What is a clad on end panel?
Clad-on end panels fix to the end of your units after the cabinets are assembled and in place to complete the look. They’re a finishing touch to improve the overall look. The panel is supplied taller and wider to allow for accurate trimming to compensate for uneven walls and floors.
Can you glue toe kick?
While most toe kick installation is best done with a cordless nail gun you can also tackle this job with construction adhesive and trim screws.
How do you cut cabinet panels?
Cutting: Use a router to cut the end panel to fit the cabinet height/width; then hand file or use 150 grit sand paper to make a smooth edge. If the countertop is already installed then you’ll need to cut the end panel to the correct size using a table or circular saw.
How thick are end panels?
An end panel is around 18mm – 25mm wide and they are generally used at the end of kitchen runs, on wall units either side of a kitchen extractor, at the side of tall units and between integrated appliances.
